Orthopedic Technologist I Job KMTC
Medical Jobs, KMTC Jobs. Orthopedic Technologist I fabricates and fits orthopedic appliances and supportive prosthetics, requires an Orthopedic Technology Diploma. Full-time role in Nairobi.
Responsibilities
- documenting of patient history and diagnosis;
- Examining the patient/client to determine the cause and level of disability;
- Prescribing, fabricating and assembling prosthetic/orthotic devices;
- Preparing and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices;
- Advising patients/clients on the importance of mobility and immobilization devices;
- Screening patients/clients for the conditions that require rehabilitative services;
- Verifying and maintaining information relating to patients; and
- Maintaining records of supplies.
Requirements
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology or its equivalent from a recognised institution;
- Must be registered with National Association Orthopedics of Kenya; and
- Proficiency in computer application.
