Summary: Office Admin role at Strathmore University’s Centre for Teaching Excellence in Nairobi, providing administrative support, program coordination, and data management for faculty development initiatives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with 2+ years’ experience in academic administration or professional development support. Full-time, on-site role.

  • The jobholder is responsible for providing administrative, operational, and coordination support to the Office of Faculty Affairs and the Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE), facilitating the efficient management of faculty-related processes and initiatives promoting teaching excellence.  

Administrative Support  

  • Manage the daily operational needs of the office.  
  • Scheduling meetings, coordinating events, managing correspondence, and maintaining office records.  
  • Ensure effective communication flow within the program office and with university stakeholders.  
  • Serve as a point of contact for faculty and staff for routine inquiries and support.  
  • Ensure effective communication between departments and stakeholders.  

Program Coordination and Management  

  • Support OFA and CTE programs by organizing workshops, training sessions, award processes, and faculty development initiatives.  
  • Manage registration, communications, and event logistics for OFA and CTE activities.  

Data Management and Reporting  

  • Maintain databases of faculty affairs and teaching excellence initiatives, and reporting metrics.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Office Management, Education Administration, or related discipline is required.  

Work Experience   

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in academic administration, faculty affairs, or professional development support.  
  • Proven skills in office management, project coordination, and stakeholder communication.
