Nutrition & Dietetics Officer Job Nyamira CPSB

Medical Jobs, Nyamira County Public Service Board Jobs. Responsible for assessing patients’ nutritional needs, preparing diet plans, providing nutrition counselling, supporting therapeutic diets, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining nutrition records. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition, Food Science and Nutrition, or a related field, with professional registration. The position is based in Nyamira and requires on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized institution
• Registration and valid license by the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI)
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution

Key Responsibilities

• Implementing, monitoring and reviewing nutrition intervention programs;
• Supervising administration of therapeutic diets
• Preparing monthly reports for the station or health facility
• Providing education and creating nutrition awareness
• Conducting nutrition and dietetics situational analysis in schools and feeding programs
• Implementing appropriate nutritional interventions where necessary
• Providing nutrition consultancy support in patient management in health care facilities
• Supervising provision of parental and newborn nutrition
• Coaching and mentoring of staff in lower levels
• Visiting different health facilities and community to assess nutrition service delivery within them
