Locum Physiotherapists Job Westlands Specialist Hospital

Responsible for assessing patients’ mobility and physical conditions, developing treatment plans, providing rehabilitation exercises, managing pain, and documenting patient progress. Requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy, registration with the relevant professional council, a valid practising licence, and at least 1–2 years of clinical experience. This is a locum, on-site position based in Nairobi.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and treat inpatients referred for physiotherapy, including post- operative, orthopaedic, neurological, and respiratory cases
• Provide chest physiotherapy and respond to urgent ward calls during the night
• Mobilise patients safely and support early recovery plans
• Keep accurate, up-to-date patient treatment records
• Work closely with nurses, doctors, and the physiotherapy department to ensure continuity of care
• Follow hospital infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical protocols

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised institution
• Registered with the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK), with a valid practising licence
• At least 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or inpatient setting
• Valid BLS certification
• Able to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
