Locum EMT Operators Job AAR Healthcare
Medical Jobs. AAR Healthcare Jobs. Responsible for providing emergency medical care, responding to medical emergencies, assessing patients, and supporting safe patient transport and treatment. Requires a relevant qualification in paramedicine or emergency medical care, with appropriate professional registration. The position is based in Nairobi and requires on-site work.
Overall purpose of the job:
To safely operate the ambulance unit and assist medical personnel in delivering effective pre-hospital emergency care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive and operate the ambulance during emergency responses and patient transfers.
- Assist the paramedic in providing pre-hospital patient care and clinical support.
- Perform routine vehicle checks, maintenance, and ensure overall roadworthiness.
- Maintain complete inventory records of vehicle spare parts and emergency equipment.
- Inspect and ensure all onboard communication systems remain fully operational.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, maintenance records, and vehicle-related expense receipts.
Qualifications, Experience & Core Competencies:
- Certificate in EMT-Basic or EMT-Intermediate.
- Valid practicing license from the Kenya Council of Emergency Medical Technicians (KCEMT).
- Valid Class BCE driving license.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an emergency ambulance operator.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Self-motivated team player capable of working under pressure.
