JENGE Village is seeking a highly distinguished Legal Expert/Advisor to provide strategic legal guidance, specialized expertise, and high-level consultation on complex legal matters. This on-call position requires an accomplished legal professional with at least 10 years of experience who can deliver expert advice on sophisticated transactions, regulatory matters, and high-stakes legal challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation on complex legal issues and strategic business matters.
• Advise on major transactions including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructuring.
• Offer specialized guidance on regulatory compliance, licensing, and government relations.
• Advise on sensitive critical legal strategies, major contracts, and high-value transactions.
• Provide thought leadership on legal developments, regulatory changes, and emerging issues.
• Advise on corporate governance, board matters, and fiduciary responsibilities.
• Support crisis management including regulatory investigations, disputes, and reputational issues.
• Mentor Senior Associates on sophisticated legal analysis and strategic thinking.
• Conduct specialized training on complex legal topics and advanced practice areas.
• Provide strategic input on risk management frameworks and compliance programs.
• Advise on dispute resolution strategy including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Guide on specialized areas such as securities law, banking law, or international trade.
• Support business development by providing insights on legal market trends.
• Advise on public policy, advocacy, and regulatory engagement strategies.
• Provide legal opinions, legal memoranda on novel or complex issues.
• Advise on intellectual property strategy, database, and system structuring.
• Support cross-border transactions and international legal matters.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of senior-level legal practice experience.
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree required; Master of Laws (LL.M) or equivalent.
• Admitted to the Bar with active practicing certificate in relevant jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated expertise in complex legal strategy and regulatory advice.
• Proven track record advising on significant transactions or regulatory matters.
• Exceptional judgment, legal analysis, and decision-making abilities.
• Strategic thinker with exceptional business and commercial acumen.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to advise boards and C-suite executives.
• Experience managing high-stakes legal situations and sensitive matters.
• Recognized expertise in the legal profession.

Preferred Qualifications

• Senior Counsel designation or equivalent recognition.
• Multiple jurisdictional advisory or global legal practice experience.
• Specialized expertise (securities law, M&A, banking, intellectual property, or international trade).
• Experience in senior leadership roles (General Counsel, Managing Partner, or Legal Director).
• Published legal scholarship, books, or recognized thought leadership.
• Speaking engagements at law conferences or academic institutions.
• Experience serving on boards, regulatory bodies, or professional committees.
• Arbitrator, mediator, or adjudicator certification and experience.
• Experience with technology or judiciary reform.
• Academic appointments or teaching positions in law.
