As a Legal Assistant, you will provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and the legal department in handling litigation and eviction-related matters. You will assist with preparing legal documents, managing case files, monitoring court proceedings, and communicating with clients and court personnel to ensure efficient case management. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys and the legal department.  
  • Prepare, review, file, and monitor legal documents, notices, summonses, and complaints.  
  • Maintain and organize case files and legal records.  
  • Track case progress, court dates, and hearing schedules.  
  • Communicate with clients regarding case updates and litigation matters via phone and email.  
  • Coordinate with courts, clerks, sheriffs, and opposing parties regarding case procedures and filings.  
  • Verify legal and property-related information using court and foreclosure documentation.  
  • Review lease ledgers and assist in preparing rent demands and supporting legal documents.  
  • Manage incoming calls and correspondence from clients, courts, attorneys, and defendants.  
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures, deadlines, and jurisdictional requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based tools.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.  
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.  
  • Professional customer service and interpersonal skills.  
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to take initiative.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn legal procedures and jurisdictional requirements.  
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and time management skills.

Preffered Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Paralegal Studies, or related field. 
  • Certification as a paralegal preferred. 
  • 5years’ legal experience preferred. 
  • Ability to communicate with clerks, judges, and attorneys. 
  • Must understand/learn eviction law and local jurisdiction requirements.  
  • Support clients in the US.
