Senior Lecturer delivers university instruction and research, requires an earned PhD (or Master’s degree for Health/ICT with 3 years university teaching experience and 1 publication), plus registration with a relevant professional body. Full-time role in Nyeri.
Responsibilities
- Teach and assess courses in one’s discipline at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programmes.
- Supervise dissertations/theses at graduate level.
- Participate in the development of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Initiate, promote and participate in research projects.
- Provide professional and community services and initiate linkages and fundraising.
- Carry out administrative and other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Should have an earned Doctorate degree or its equivalent from a recognized academic institution.
- Be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
- Those with publications shall have an added advantage.
OR
- A masters’ degree in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized University (Health and ICT).
- At least three (3) years teaching experience at the University level or in research or industry; and
- Registered with the relevant professional body;
- Must have at least one (1) publication.
