What You’ll Be Doing

  • Illustrate characters, animals, and lively scenes for children educational books, activity kits, and storytelling visuals,
  • Create illustrations inspired by nature, Afro-folk, and traditional African motifs
  • Design illustrations for merchandise like notebooks, tote bags, wall art, apparel, and stickers
  • Collaborate with designers to visualize African nature and tales as well as learning materials
  • Contribute to product mockups, packaging art, and playful brand campaigns
  • Add humor, imagination, and just the right amount of magic to each brush stroke.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor degree in Arts and Design (Illustration) or any similar creative field.
  • Proficient in Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, or other digital drawing tools
  • Experience: 1–2 years (a strong portfolio is your best resume!)
  • You draw like it’s your first language — from elephants in boots to dancing mangoes.
  • A playful, Afrocentric style or the ability to develop one
  • Comfortable with feedback and open collaboration
  • Bonus if you’ve worked with kids’ content or Afro-inspired merchandise before
