IT Support Technician Job

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
  • Provide first-line technical support to staff for hardware, software, email, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, connectivity problems, and application malfunctions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all office computers, email accounts, and network services are operational at all times.
  • Perform routine system checks, updates, backups, and basic security maintenance.
  • Assist with user account management, including email setup, password resets, and access control.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and report faulty or obsolete hardware.
  • Liaise with external vendors or service providers when advanced support is required.
  • Provide basic user training and guidance on IT best practices and system usage.
  • Be available on standby during agreed hours to respond to urgent IT issues.

Key Requirement Skills And Qualification

  • Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, email systems, and networking concepts.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting and peripheral device setup.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good understanding of computer hardware and software systems
