Our client is a leading provider of advanced drainage and water management solutions. They specialize in designing and delivering innovative systems for wastewater treatment and water treatment applications, ensuring sustainability and efficiency in every project.

We are seeking an IT Application Support Specialist to provide functional support across the full Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem. The role focuses primarily on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, while also supporting Dynamics 365 applications, Power Platform solutions, and integrated business systems.
Scope: Support to South Africa and other English speaking SWEG entities, with occasional support to French/Arabic speaking entities.

Application Support & Functional Expertise

  • Provide functional support for Dynamics 365 Business Central (finance, supply chain, production).
  • Support business applications including Dynamics 365 Sales/CRM, operations tools, and ISV add ons.
  • Assist users with functional issues, configuration questions, and process related requests.
  • Perform data corrections, user support, and ongoing functional system maintenance.

Integrations & Ecosystem Management

  • Maintain integrations between Dynamics, Power Platform, Dataverse, and third party systems.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, API connections, and data flow inconsistencies.
  • Ensure system stability across multi application touchpoints.

Reporting & Automation

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Create, optimize, and monitor Power Automate workflows to streamline business processes.
  • Support data governance and ensure high data quality across systems.
  • User Support, Training & Process Improvement
  • Provide training, documentation, and functional guidance to business users.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help standardize best practices.
  • Participate in UAT, upgrades, international SWEG projects, and system enhancements.

Additional Responsibilities – IT System Administration

  • To support broader IT operations and ensure a stable system environment, the role also includes core system administration tasks:

Infrastructure & System Support

  • Support Windows Server environments, including domain services and shared resources.
  • Administer Active Directory / Azure AD: users, groups, permissions, conditional access.
  • Provide support across Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint).
  • Assist with endpoint management (Intune or similar MDM).
  • Monitor backups, restore data when needed, and apply best practices for continuity.
  • Support basic network troubleshooting (VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, firewalls).
  • Troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, and user devices.

Security & Compliance

  • Apply cybersecurity best practices (MFA, least privilege, secure configuration).
  • Monitor and respond to alerts from M365 and Defender security platforms.
  • Contribute to compliance, data protection, and audit readiness.

Operational Excellence

  • Work within ITIL-oriented processes (incident, request, and change management).
  • Document IT procedures, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and system guides.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and escalate technical issues appropriately.
  • Solid functional experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Sales/CRM or Dataverse.
  • Experience with Power BI and Power Automate.
  • Understanding of industrial or manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have

  • French and Arabic language skills.
  • Experience in a multinational or manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to shared service or international support models.
