Inspector (Electrical) Job Nakuru CPSB

Responsible for inspecting electrical installations and systems, checking compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations, identifying faults and unsafe practices, monitoring electrical works at construction sites, preparing inspection reports, advising on corrective measures and ensuring compliance with approved building and electrical codes. Requires a Diploma or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation from a recognized institution. The position is based in Nakuru and requires on-site work.

Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;

• Diploma in any of the following fields: Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technician Part III or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
• Proficiency in computer applications 

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection and maintenance of electric installations in public buildings and Government Quarters;
• Testing and maintenance of electrical controls related to fire-detection equipment, cookers, water heaters and general domestic appliances;
• Inspection and maintenance of electrical controls in power generating plants and machinery.
