Our client is a reputable real estate development company known for delivering high-quality commercial, residential, and warehousing projects. With a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence, they are shaping modern living and working spaces across Kenya. The organization is looking to expand its in-house technical team to meet the demands of ongoing and upcoming developments.
We are seeking a talented and experienced In-House Architect to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction and development of residential, commercial, and warehousing projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design process from concept through to detailed design and execution.
- Develop architectural plans, layouts, and specifications for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
- Review and approve drawings, materials, and construction techniques in line with project requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and provide guidance during the construction phase to ensure adherence to architectural plans.
- Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and design proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide innovative and sustainable design solutions that enhance functionality and aesthetics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and best practices in architecture and construction.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Architect working on commercial, residential, and warehousing projects.
- Must be registered with or have applied for registration with the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK).
- Proficient in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of local building regulations, codes, and permitting processes.
- Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Creative and detail-oriented with a strong design sensibility.
