Responsibilities
- Updating and maintaining websites (news and radio) using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Word Press;
- Updating and optimizing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms;
- Testing, debugging and troubleshooting web-apps to ensure app stability and performance;
- Implementing content strategies for digital platforms (e.g. websites, social media, video, podcasts);
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for mobile apps and their features;
- Documenting code changes and app enhancements for future reference;
- Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations;
- Undertaking research to keep abreast of industry social media trends and their input on content production, distribution and consumption
Qualifications
For an appointment for KBC 8 an officer must have the following: –
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Graphic design, Interaction Design, Information Technology, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Communication studies, Media Studies/Science, TV Production, Media, Broadcast Production, Journalism, Public Communications or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Technology, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Communication studies, Media Studies/Science, TV Production, Media, Broadcast Production, Journalism, Public Communications or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
