About the Role:

The HR Supervisor will play a crucial role in supporting the HR functions for our washing powder factory. This position is responsible for managing HR operations, ensuring accurate payroll and attendance records for outsourced staff during the construction phase, and handling recruitment and onboarding for in-house employees. The role also involves maintaining relationships with local labor authorities and ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Oversee and verify the attendance and salary calculations of outsourced personnel during the factory’s construction phase, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for in-house employees, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with local labor authorities (e.g., Labor Bureau, DOSH) in the Kajiado region, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures within the washing powder factory.
  • Address employee inquiries and resolve HR-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist the department manager with various ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an HR Supervisor or in a similar HR role.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (e.g., washing powder factory, chemical plant, processing plant, or light industry) is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Kenyan labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
