Job Purpose
Assisting the nurse with basic patient care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean patients/ section environment in the unit.
- Escorting stable patients on discharge within and outside the hospital including porter’s services.
- Cleaning/ decontaminating the linens and instruments after procedure.
- Assembling the required items for admission.
- Ensure superior customer experience for all internal and external customers.
- Assist the nurse in bed baths, bedmaking, feeding stable patients and any other tasks assigned by the nurse within the patient attendant’s scope of practice.
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.
Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications
- Certificate in Health Care Assistant Course/ Patient attendant course.
- Updated Basic life support certification.
- 2 years of working experience in a busy hospital set-up
