Responsible for organizing, maintaining, and securing patient health records while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations.
Key Duties
- Maintain and update electronic/physical patient records.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient information.
- Process admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Support medical staff with record retrieval.
- Ensure compliance with legal and confidentiality standards.
- Prepare reports, audits, and statistics.
- Manage filing/storage of records per policy.
- Train staff on records systems.
Qualifications
- Certificate/Diploma in Health/Medical Records or related field.
- Knowledge of health info systems & documentation.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations/confidentiality standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in records management preferred.
