Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya for a Head of Education. The Head of Education will oversee the planning, development and implementation of educational programmes in Palliative Care. Responsibilities include leading curriculum development, managing educational strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring staff and trainees and ensuring high-quality training delivery. The role also includes overseeing compliance with educational standards and fostering stronger community and stakeholder partnerships.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Development, ensuring the design and oversight of effective educational programmes (physical and online)
- Proficiency in Palliative Care Education and Education, demonstrating a robust background in teaching and learning methodologies
- Excellent Communication skills for effective collaboration, mentorship, and stakeholder engagement
- Experience in training healthcare and allied healthcare providers or similar educational roles is preferred
- Passionate about improving Palliative Care education and advancing the overall quality of care
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in healthcare (nursing, medicine, allied health) in combination with a background in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- An in-depth understanding of the Oxford Brookes University (OBU) Higher Diploma Programme will be an added advantag
