Duties and Responsibilities
- Recording, transcribing, and producing the official verbatim reports of Assembly proceedings and committee sittings.
- Ensuring accuracy and completeness of parliamentary records.
- Ensuring timely and accurate transcription.
- Operating audio recording and transcription systems.
- Maintaining Hansard archives and digital records.
- Any other duties assigned by the Hansard Editor.

Requirements for Appointment
- Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Linguistics, or related field.
- Excellent command of English and Kiswahili.
- Proficiency in transcription, shorthand and editing software.
- Good typing speed and attention to detail.
- Computer Literate
- Experience in parliamentary reporting will be an added advantage.
- Collecting and analyzing data on policy, governance and public administration issues.
- Supporting committees with evidence-based information.
- Maintaining a research database and library resources.
- Any other duty assigned by the Director of Research.
Requirements for Appointment
- Diploma in Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Statistics, Law, or related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Ability to write clear reports and briefs.
- Proficiency in computer applications and data analysis.
- Experience in research or legislative support will be an added advantage.
