  • Recording, transcribing, and producing the official verbatim reports of Assembly proceedings and committee sittings.
  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness of parliamentary records.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate transcription.
  • Operating audio recording and transcription systems.
  • Maintaining Hansard archives and digital records.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Hansard Editor.

  • Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, Linguistics, or related field.
  • Excellent command of English and Kiswahili.
  • Proficiency in transcription, shorthand and editing software.
  • Good typing speed and attention to detail.
  • Computer Literate
  • Experience in parliamentary reporting will be an added advantage.
  • Collecting and analyzing data on policy, governance and public administration issues.
  • Supporting committees with evidence-based information.
  • Maintaining a research database and library resources.
  • Any other duty assigned by the Director of Research.
  • Diploma in Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Statistics, Law, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to write clear reports and briefs.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data analysis.
  • Experience in research or legislative support will be an added advantage.
