We are seeking to recruit a competent and detail-oriented General Underwriter – Marine & Bonds to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting underwriting operations, ensuring proper documentation, and delivering efficient service to clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Marine insurance quotations and follow through to issuance of Marine Certificates as per client instructions.
- Send CSU instructions for all marine covers issued and facilitate bond processing and cancellations in line with guidelines set by the Insurance Regulatory Authority.
- Ensure proper underwriting by applying the correct clauses and amendments under Marine and Bonds where necessary.
- Prepare Risk Notes, follow up with insurers for documentation, and liaise with Accounts to ensure timely premium collection.
- Manage Bond renewals and renewal of Marine Open Covers (MOC) for clients.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Mandatory: Proven experience handling Marine and Bonds underwriting in an Insurance Broker or Agency.
- Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., ACII / IIK) will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
