We are seeking to recruit a competent and detail-oriented General Underwriter – Marine & Bonds to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting underwriting operations, ensuring proper documentation, and delivering efficient service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Marine insurance quotations and follow through to issuance of Marine Certificates as per client instructions.
• Send CSU instructions for all marine covers issued and facilitate bond processing and cancellations in line with guidelines set by the Insurance Regulatory Authority.
• Ensure proper underwriting by applying the correct clauses and amendments under Marine and Bonds where necessary.
• Prepare Risk Notes, follow up with insurers for documentation, and liaise with Accounts to ensure timely premium collection.
• Manage Bond renewals and renewal of Marine Open Covers (MOC) for clients.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Mandatory: Proven experience handling Marine and Bonds underwriting in an Insurance Broker or Agency.
• Professional insurance qualifications (e.g., ACII / IIK) will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
