Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to transport avocados within ripening chambers and production areas.
- Load and unload avocados from trucks, ensuring proper stacking and storage.
- Arrange bins logically as per GRN to avoid mix-ups.
- Follow all safety protocols and conduct regular forklift inspections.
- Handle avocados carefully to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Ripening Chamber Supervisor and other team members for smooth operations.
- Perform routine forklift maintenance and report issues.
- Maintain accurate operation records, including logs and incident reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate in Forklift Operations, Driving License, or related technical training.
- Occupational Trade Tests III/II/I for forklift operators from a recognized institution.
- First Aid Certificate Course (minimum 1 week) from a recognized institution.
- At least 3 years’ hands-on forklift experience in a food processing or manufacturing setting.
- Experience with electronic forklifts or similar machinery is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to forklift operation and food processing
