The role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily crude oil evacuation and logistics operations across Ngamia and Amosing, ensuring seamless alignment between EPF operations, transporters, security teams, water supply requirements, dispatch activities, and terminal delivery schedules. Acting as the key field logistics focal point, the position facilitates effective communication and coordination among Production Operations, Transporters, Security, and Midstream Operations to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted crude transportation and supporting logistics activities.
The position also provides direct supervision to Dispatch Controllers and field logistics personnel, ensuring disciplined execution of logistics processes and timely resolution of operational challenges. As the primary coordination link between field operations and Head Office, the role is accountable for maintaining operational continuity, managing stakeholder relationships, escalating and resolving logistics issues, and supporting the overall effectiveness of field logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Site Operations Coordination
- Coordinate daily logistics activities across Ngamia and Amosing to ensure alignment with production and evacuation targets.
- Balance fleet deployment and dispatch priorities between both operating locations.
- Monitor operational performance and continuity across the two sites.
- Coordinate resources to support changing operational requirements and priorities.
EPF Interface & Service Coordination
- Act as the primary logistics interface with EPF operations teams.
- Coordinate loading readiness, truck requirements, and logistics support services.
- Coordinate water trucking activities supporting EPF operations.
- Resolve routine operational issues and escalate critical service concerns affecting production or logistics performance.
- Ensure effective communication between logistics operations and production teams.
Transporter & Fleet Coordination
- Coordinate transporter supervisors to ensure truck and driver availability.
- Monitor fleet readiness, truck positioning, dispatch performance, and operational utilization.
- Coordinate truck staging and convoy readiness.
- Escalate fleet constraints, delays, breakdowns, and performance concerns.
- Monitor transporter compliance with operational requirements and service commitments.
Dispatch Operations Supervision
- Provide direct supervision and support to Dispatch Controllers and field logistics operatives.
- Ensure dispatch activities are executed in accordance with approved procedures and schedules.
- Monitor compliance with dispatch controls, documentation requirements, and operational standards.
- Ensure continuity of dispatch operations across all shifts.
Water Trucking Coordination
- Coordinate water trucking requirements supporting EPF operations and facility activities.
- Monitor contractor performance and service delivery against operational requirements.
- Ensure continuity of water supply logistics to support production activities.
- Coordinate corrective actions where service interruptions occur.
Security & Transportation Corridor Monitoring
- Liaise with Security regarding convoy movements, transportation risks, and route disruptions.
- Monitor transportation activities across the evacuation corridor.
- Coordinate response to transportation delays, incidents, breakdowns, and operational disruptions.
- Support implementation of journey management requirements and transportation controls.
Operational Reporting & Escalation
- Monitor logistics performance against operational targets and KPIs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance reports.
- Escalate significant operational, safety, security, or service issues requiring management intervention.
- Support investigations relating to operational disruptions, delays, and performance issues.
HSSE & Compliance
- Promote compliance with HSSE policies, procedures, and operational controls.
- Support implementation of risk mitigation measures relating to logistics operations.
- Ensure contractors operate in accordance with agreed HSSE requirements.
- Participate in incident investigations, risk assessments, and operational reviews as required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Transport Management, Operations Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in logistics operations, transport coordination, fuel logistics, field operations, or contractor-managed environments.
- Experience coordinating large-scale transport operations within remote or challenging operating environments.
- Experience managing contractor performance and service delivery.
- Experience working within oil & gas, fuel logistics, mining, infrastructure, or similar high-risk operations is preferred.
- Experience coordinating multi-site operations and stakeholder interfaces.
- Knowledge of journey management, fleet operations, and operational risk management principles.
