Field Technician – BTS Maintenance Job Corevantage

Ensure 100% network availability by performing routine and corrective maintenance on Base Transceiver Station (BTS) sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on BTS equipment, power systems, and transmission links
- Conduct regular site inspections for fuel levels, alarms, security, cleanness and equipment performance
- Manage fueling activities including delivery verification, dip readings and consumption tracking
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults on power systems such as generators, rectifiers, batteries and solar systems
- Replace defective hardware, perform minor repairs, and escalate complex issues in a timely manner
- Ensure safe operation of tools and equipment during maintenance work
- Maintain site access, record updates, and ensure physical security of BTS sites
- Submit accurate site reports, photos, and logs via company systems after each visit
- Support installation and upgrade work when required
- Adhere to SLAs, response times and quality standards
- Adheres to ethical conduct and zero-tolerance policies on theft, fraud and data misuse.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of BTS equipment, telecom power systems, and site components
- Basic understanding of transmission, and grounding principles
- Hands-on technical skills in troubleshooting and maintenance
- Fuel handling and accountability procedures
- Attention to detail, reliability and strong reporting discipline
- Ability to work independently and travel regularly
- Safety awareness and preventive mindset.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related technical field
- At least 3 years hands-on experience in telecom site maintenance or similar technical work
- Working knowledge of BTS power systems including rectifiers, batteries, generators, and hybrid power solutions
- Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks safely and correctly
- Understanding of I-Tower workflows, updates and reporting requirements
- Capable of using smartphones, mobile apps, and basic reporting tools for job closure updates
- Trained in Defensive Driving, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Safety,
- Valid driving license
