Purpose:

Responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting the Facilities department functions ensuring provision of a comfortable workspace for employees, visitors, and outsourced services provider. To implement organizational Facilities management goals and objectives, and ensure they are consistently applied.

Responsibilities

• Monitor outsourced companies, ensure they are audited on service delivery and comply with all legislative requirements and compliance.
• Manage preventative and pro-active maintenance programs. Inspects and resolves Facilities related problems.
• Manage Facilities breaches and follow corrective actions (including incidents involving outside vendors).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with all staff at CCI to become a trusted partner.
• Monitor performance of outsourced services
• Implement the overall Facilities strategy for the Company. Implement and communicate Facilities policies and procedures.
• Assist with audits of the outsourced company.
• Monitor departmental KRI’s and KPIs
• Measure and track department’s success regularly
• Manage the continuous monitoring and preventive maintenance of Company facilities.
• Be always cost conscious whilst keeping CCI’s best interests at heart

Qualifications

• Strong Communication – Effectively communicating with staff, tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
• Analytical and a Good Problem Solver – Identifying issues, assessing situations, and developing effective solutions.
• Team Leadership – Motivating and guiding teams, delegating tasks, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Technical expertise – Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Alarm Systems, fit-outs and general construction works.
• Understanding of business principles.
• Managing budgets – Creating and managing budgets, tracking expenses, and understanding financial reports.
• Project management – Planning, organizing, and executing projects i.e. renovations, repairs, and installations.
• Maintaining a safe and efficient facility
• Compliance – Understanding and adhering to relevant regulations and standards.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Facility Management or a related field.
• Certifications in areas like safety or maintenance are an added advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in Facility Management or Construction Management
