Job Summary

AME is looking to hire a driver, who will be responsible for safely transporting company staff, clients, and goods to designated locations while ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained and operated in compliance with traffic laws. The role requires professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety and punctuality..

Responsibilities

• Safely drive company staff, clients, or goods to assigned destinations
• Plan efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals and deliveries
• Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with staff and clients
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, lights, etc.)
• Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and expenses
• Ensure all necessary documents (insurance, logbooks, licenses) are up to date
• Report any accidents, vehicle issues, or delays promptly
• Plan routes in advance and adjust in real time to avoid traffic congestion, roadworks or delays
• Maintain the vehicle in excellent condition
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum KCSE Certificate.
• Valid driver’s license (with relevant categories B1).
• Familiarity with Nairobi and other major towns’ routes.
• Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or industrial operations preferred
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and material handling procedures
• High level of integrity, responsibility, and adherence to safety standards.
• Both Men and women to apply but preferably lady driver as first priority and male( Muslim) drivers as second priority
• To be conversant and very familiar with Nairobi roads and superhighways
• To be flexible to working hours and working days including holidays and weekends
• Be familiar with Google maps
• Should be between 28-45years
• Have proven experience of driving both manual and automatic cars(for ladies if they only know automatic vehicles should have assurance to us that she will learn manual
• We need ID, kra pin, active license and copy of updated good conduct
