We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatch Specialist to optimize delivery operations and ensure seamless coordination across teams. Based in Kisumu, Kenya, you will manage dispatch planning, real-time monitoring, and data-driven improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Dispatch Planning & Coordination

  • Develop daily dispatch schedules based on order priorities, delivery timelines, cargo volume, and operational needs.
  • Allocate resources (vehicles, personnel) effectively to meet service-level agreements.

Real-Time Monitoring & Problem-Solving

  • Track vehicle locations, cargo safety, and delivery progress using logistics tools.
  • Address emergencies (e.g., vehicle breakdowns, cargo damage, traffic delays) by adjusting plans and coordinating solutions to prevent delays.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Compile weekly reports on delivery completion rates, delays, and exceptions.
Analyze root causes of issues and propose optimization strategies to leadership.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with order management teams, warehouse staff, carriers, and clients to align on delivery requirements.
  • Support finance/HR with tasks like cost verification and attendance tracking.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: Open to all levels; prior dispatch/logistics experience is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Resource Coordination: Ability to balance multiple demands and resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Communication: Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills for internal/external collaboration.
  • Data Proficiency: Expertise in Excel for data analysis; ability to derive insights from metrics.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with road networks in Western Kenya (Kisumu-centric) is preferred.
