Deputy Chairperson Co-operative Tribunal Job JSC Nairobi, Kenya
Qualifications::
For appointment as Deputy Chairperson of the Co-operative Tribunal, an applicant must meet the minimum requirements set out under Section 77(1) and (2) of the Co-operative Societies Act, Cap. 490, read together with Sections 12 and 13 of the Advocates Act, Cap. 16.
- Have a Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university;
- Have passed the prescribed examination of the Council of Legal Education, Kenya, and been awarded the relevant Diploma or certificate by the Kenya School of Law;
- Have a certificate of admission to the Roll of Advocates and be qualified to practise as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
- Have at least five (5) years’ experience;
- Be a member in good standing of the relevant professional body;
- Satisfy any additional requirements that the Council may prescribe under the applicable law;
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity; and
- In addition, demonstrate a high degree of professional competence, communication skills, fairness, good temperament, sound judgment in both legal and life experiences, and commitment to public and community service.
