Job Purpose
As a member of the Data Science practice, you will be overseeing advanced AI & ML engagements tailored for the corporate banking sector. This includes leading the discovery, build, and maintenance phases of our projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction. Your core responsibility will be to manage project timelines, resources, and communications while providing technical guidance to the team. You will work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and clients to understand their requirements, translate them into technical tasks, and develop robust solutions
Desired Skills And Experience
8+ years of relevant experience in:
- Experience in data science project management and technical leadership within the financial industry.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML techniques.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a business and technical aptitude.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results.
Additionally, desired skills:
- Familiarity with PowerBI and other visualization tools.
- Experience with agile project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial industry
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the project team, ensuring best practices in data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML model development.
- Serve as the primary contact for client communications, ensuring clear and effective information exchange.
- Conduct Q&A sessions with senior and execution-level bankers.
- Ensure quality control and standardization of deliverables. Perform data discovery feasibility, establish data lineage for audibility and implement data quality checks.
- Establish clear milestones and governance plans, track project progress, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Oversee the setup of Azure SQL databases, Azure DevOps environments, and PowerBI servers.
- Monitor and optimize data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and efficient processing.
- Guide the development of PowerBI dashboards, meeting client requirements and providing actionable insights.
- Incorporate feedback from bankers and continuously improve models, dashboards, and processes.
- Maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and project progress reports.
