Key Responsibilities
- Participate in effective management of the KRPON Program
- Oversee effective implementation of the approved KRPON curriculum
- Participate in the preparation, management and control of the KRPON program budget under supervision from the lead, School of Nursing
- Provision and supervision of learning resources to the clinical areas
- Take a leadership role in continuous improvement of the operating effectiveness, assessment of the Program’s strengths and weaknesses and identifying risks that could affect its future
- Responsible for development and implementation of effective teaching timetable and master rotation plan for the educators and clinical instructors in the classroom and clinical areas as appropriate
- Ensure implementation of an effective mentorship program for the students
- Participate in classroom and clinical teaching and evaluation of students for the allocated units
- Collaborate in with other units in the preparation, presentation and maintenance of the program budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited University
- A higher diploma in Kenya Registered Perioperative Nursing
- Minimum six (6) years’ experience, at least 2 years in teaching/lecturing or two (2) as an educational institute administrator with exposure to adult learning
- Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK)
- Must be conversant with national teaching standards in Nursing
