Job Purpose

• To monitor, operate and maintain CCTV and other electronic surveillance systems to protect Richland Security Services Limited’s clients’ premises, assets and personnel. The role is responsible for detection and reporting of suspicious activities, ensuring system integrity, maintaining logs and providing footage for investigations, while complying with legal, privacy and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV feeds, alarms and access control systems for multiple client sites.
• Identify and report any suspicious activity, intrusions, theft or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities or security teams.
• Retrieve and archive video footage upon request or as part of investigations.
• Maintain accurate daily occurrence logs and incident reports for all notable events.
• Ensure daily call ups are done and on time.
• Ensure right establishments for each assignment.
• Timely reporting of incidents and escalation through the right channels of command.
• Ensure timely tracking of vehicles on the tracking system.
• Liaise with on-ground security officers, emergency responders and client representatives during incidents.
• Ensure all cameras, recording devices, server room and other surveillance equipment are fully operational.
• Perform routine system checks and escalate faults or failures for prompt resolution.
• Maintain confidentiality of all video surveillance and ensure data protection compliance.
• Follow ERS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to legal requirements related to surveillance and data handling.
• Participate in emergency response coordination when needed.
• Offer operational support to other departments when called upon.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly activity reports for review and client reporting.

• Physically and mentally alert for prolonged periods during shift work.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Security Management, IT, or related field (preferred).
• Prior experience as a control room operator or in a similar role is an advantage.
• Knowledge of CCTV, alarm, and access control systems.
