Description

The Content & Localization Strategist is responsible for crafting compelling, culturally relevant, and platform-specific messaging across global digital campaigns. This role ensures that all written content, from social media copy to ad creatives, resonates with diverse international audiences and aligns with strategic goals. With deep experience in multicultural communication and linguistic nuance, this strategist bridges the gap between powerful storytelling and regional accuracy, including adaptation into non-Latin scripts.

  • 4–6 years of experience in content strategy, localization, or global communications
  • Proven track record of writing for diverse platforms: Meta Ads, TikTok, Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Experience localizing content for multiple regions and non-Latin scripts (e.g., Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic)
  • Familiarity with international development, environmental, or advocacy language is a plus
  • Ability to manage tone-of-voice consistency across languages
  • Fast turnaround and flexibility under shifting campaign needs

Content Planning & Strategy

  • Collaborate with the campaign manager and creative team to develop a messaging framework and content calendar aligned with client priorities and global observances (e.g., international days, thematic campaigns).
  • Tailor content tone, structure, and call-to-actions (CTAs) to suit each platform (e.g., short hooks for X, storytelling for LinkedIn, narrative-driven posts for Instagram Reels or Stories).
  • Research digital engagement trends across target regions to inform message framing.

Multilingual Adaptation & Localization

  • Draft and localize copy in multiple languages or work with vetted translators for culturally sensitive adaptations (e.g., French, Arabic, Swahili, Chinese).
  • Ensure accurate adaptation of idioms, humor, and context-specific calls to action.
  • Work closely with the creative designer to align visual and verbal messaging.

Platform & Format Optimization

  • Optimize character count, hashtags, emojis, and keywords for different social media and search ad formats (e.g., carousel ads, skippable videos, headline copy, descriptions).
  • Coordinate with the Ads & Analytics Lead to test content variations and implement data-driven adjustments.

Quality Control & Final Review

  • Conduct final reviews of published ad content for spelling, tone, accessibility, and cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Ensure messaging is aligned with brand guidelines, climate-conscious language, and advocacy tone.
