Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chef De Cuisine based in Mombasa County, Kenya. The Chef De Cuisine will prepare high-quality dishes with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine and fresh, local seafood. The role involves creating innovative menus, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, sourcing and maintaining fresh ingredients, and supervising meal preparation.
The Chef De Cuisine will also be responsible for managing kitchen staff, controlling inventory, maintaining budgetary goals, and delivering excellent culinary experiences to guests.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Culinary Arts, expertise in seafood cuisine, and menu development capabilities
- Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills to effectively manage a kitchen team and operations
- Proficiency in food safety, sanitation, and nutritional best practiceses
- Creativity and innovation in culinary techniques
- Experience working in high-end dining establishments, preferably with a focus on seafood or coastal cuisine
- Formal culinary arts education or equivalent professional training is preferred
- A commitment to quality, excellence, and guest satisfaction
