Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for appointment, a candidate must:

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: medicine and surgery, nursing, public health, health information management systems, economics, business administration, business management, public administration or its equivalents from a recognized institution.
• Master’s degree in medical related field will be an added advantage.
• A registered member of a relevant professional body.
• Have a distinguished career with at least ten (10) years of experience in a senior management position in either the public or private sector.
• Demonstrate proven experience in hospital administration, health systems management, and the implementation of organizational change.
• Exhibit high levels of professional competence, managerial capability, and strategic leadership skills.
• Be proficient in computer applications and modern information management systems.
• Meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution of kenya on leadership and integrity.
