Caterer – School Catering Services Job Talent Grid

This role goes beyond the kitchen. You’ll manage a team, oversee food safety compliance, handle stock and budgeting, and coordinate catering for school events. You’ll play a major part in the day-to-day experience of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Planning balanced, cost-effective menus that meet nutritional standards
- Supervising kitchen operations, food preparation, and plating
- Ensuring hygiene and sanitation protocols are strictly followed
- Ordering and tracking supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Managing catering logistics for events like parent meetings and school functions
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Catering, Food Production, or Hospitality
- Minimum 3 years of experience in institutional or school catering
- Strong kitchen leadership and staff supervision skills
- Familiarity with HACCP and Kenyan food safety regulations
- A valid health certificate is required
