Location: Kenya

Salary: 200,0000 – 300,0000 Kes plus Commissions

We’re looking for a commercially sharp, relationship-driven Business Development Manager who knows the brewing industry inside-out. From spotting opportunities to closing deals with breweries and food manufacturers, you’ll play a central role in driving growth, building long-term client relationships, and shaping our market strategy.

  • Thrive on sales targets and enjoy the challenge of consistently exceeding them
  • Love building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted partner
  • Have a genuine passion for the brewing and food ingredients space
  • Enjoy turning customer pain points into tailored solutions
  • Like being at the heart of industry events, networking, and representing a strong brand
  • Prefer desk-only work and dislike frequent travel for client meetings and demos
  • Get uncomfortable negotiating or presenting to executives and technical experts alike
  • Don’t enjoy cross-functional teamwork (sales, marketing, product, operations)
  • Shy away from data-driven performance tracking and CRM usage

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyse markets, track competitors, and identify growth opportunities
  • Generate leads, qualify prospects, and close high-value deals
  • Build lasting relationships with brewers, food producers, and decision-makers
  • Prepare compelling proposals and conduct impactful presentations
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless delivery and product alignment
  • Represent the company at trade shows, demos, and industry events
  • Use CRM tools to track pipeline, performance, and customer insights

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s in Food Science, Brewing Science, Business, or related (Master’s a plus)
  • 3–7 years of technical sales experience in brewing/food ingredients
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong knowledge of brewing processes, formulations, and key ingredients
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • CRM proficiency and analytical thinking with a hands-on approach
  • Willingness to travel for meetings, demos, and events
