Business Central Senior Developer Job Greenspoon

IT Jobs. Greenspoon Jobs

The Role

Greenspoon is hiring a full-time Business Central Developer to own and evolve our Business Central environment end to end. You will be the in-house expert the finance, operations, warehouse, and commercial teams rely on every day. You will keep the system healthy, build the extensions and integrations we need to scale, and help us get more value out of the platform over time.

This is a hands-on builder role, not a pure support role. You will write AL code, design integrations, and partner with department leads to translate operational needs into clean, maintainable BC solutions.

  • Own the day-to-day health, performance, and reliability of our Business Central environment
  • Develop and maintain AL extensions, customisations, and in-house apps
  • Build and maintain integrations with WooCommerce, our WMS, last-mile logistics partners, payment providers, and other third-party systems via APIs and Power Automate
  • Maintain and improve configurations across Finance, Inventory, Purchasing, and Warehouse modules (chart of accounts, dimensions, posting groups, item setups, workflows, user permissions)
  • Support and improve month-end and year-end close processes alongside the finance team
  • Manage BC SaaS administration: environments, updates, sandbox testing, telemetry, and release cycles
  • Build and maintain reports across Jet Reports, Power BI, and BC’s built-in reporting
  • Lead data imports, cleanups, and migration projects
  • Manage user access and security roles
  • Train internal users and write clear documentation for the team
  • Partner with department heads to scope, prioritise, and deliver new functionality on the ERP roadmap
  • 3+ years hands-on Business Central / NAV experience
  • Strong functional knowledge across Finance, Inventory, Purchasing, and Warehouse modules
  • Solid AL development experience with VS Code, Git, and the BC extension lifecycle
  • Experience administering Business Central SaaS (admin center, environments, telemetry)
  • Comfortable building integrations with Power Automate, Power BI, and REST APIs
  • Strong written communication and the ability to translate business problems into ERP solutions
  • Available to work Nairobi business hours, including occasional out-of-hours support during close periods or critical incidents

Nice to Have

  • Microsoft certifications (MB-800, MB-820)
  • FMCG, retail, or e-commerce ERP experience
  • Experience integrating WooCommerce, WMS systems, or last-mile logistics platforms
  • Knowledge of Kenyan tax and statutory compliance setup in BC (VAT, eTIMS)
  • Exposure to data warehousing or analytics tooling beyond Power BI
