The Role holder is responsible for the strategic development, delivery, and oversight of integrated family office, corporate trustee, and estate planning services. The role combines technical leadership, client advisory, product development, and commercial responsibility to ensure sustainable growth, regulatory compliance, and high-quality fiduciary outcomes for clients and beneficiaries.

Strategy, Business Development & Marketing

  • Support implementation of strategies to strengthen the capacity to deliver comprehensive family office, corporate trustee, and estate planning solutions, including succession planning, wealth structuring, asset consolidation, and intergenerational governance.
  • Design and implement pricing strategies for estate planning and family office services in consultation with the Head of Business Development, Dept. Head, Estate Planning, and other senior stakeholders, balancing profitability, regulatory compliance, and client value.
  • Support marketing and business development initiatives, including client pitches, seminars, workshops, public speaking engagements, and thought-leadership activities.
  • Review and approve marketing and client-facing materials to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and brand alignment.
  • Prepare concept notes, progress reports, and annual performance reports tracking delivery against strategic targets, analysing variances, and recommending improvements.

Product Development, Review & Risk Management

  • Support the design, rollout, and continuous improvement of estate planning, trustee, and family office products to drive sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Monitor product performance and client uptake, and work with business development and trust consulting teams to refine solutions in response to market and client needs.
  • Participate in the establishment and maintenance of a structured product review and innovation framework, including lifecycle management of services.
  • Provide market, regulatory, and industry intelligence to product and trust consulting teams through ongoing review of existing solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate legal, tax, governance, and family-related risks (including disputes and succession risks) through proactive structuring and coordination with risk, tax, and compliance teams.

Operations, Legal & Trust Administration

  • Prepare, review, and oversee estate planning and trust documentation, including wills, trusts, family governance instruments, and related advisory outputs.
  • Review client estate planning instructions and ensure execution strictly in line with mandates, fiduciary duties, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Establish and administer appropriate estate planning, trust, and family office structures tailored to client objectives and risk profiles.
  • Lead and participate in client meetings at both strategic and operational levels, ensuring accurate documentation of decisions and transactions.
  • Coordinate engagements involving internal teams, external advisors, and family stakeholders.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, fiduciary, and internal reporting obligations.
  • Manage ongoing client communications to ensure timely progress, clarity, and service excellence.
  • Develop, review, and update legal precedents, operational manuals, training materials, and internal guidelines relevant to estate planning and family office services.

Systems, Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of systems, digital platforms, and operational frameworks supporting family office and estate planning services.
  • Support automation and process-efficiency initiatives within trust and estate administration.
  • Participate in internal committees, projects, and governance forums as required.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably assigned in support of the team objectives.
  • LL. B Degree
  • Diploma Kenya School of Law
  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
  • Additional training/qualifications in Estate Planning an added advantage. 
  • Well versed in Succession Law and Practice.
  • Strong teamwork and solid organization skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Creative problem-solving, critical thinking, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make presentations to various groups of people.
  • Confident and highly articulate.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills necessary to deal with a wide variety of people and professionals.
