Associate Director, Financial Analytics Job

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, automation and maintenance of data models that support reporting, auditing, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to build those data models, and improve existing ones after investigating edge cases
- Partner with business leaders and engineers to translate new products into existing/new data models
- Manage and mentor a team of finance analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, ownership, accountability, analytical rigor and autonomy.
- Partner with Data Analysts and Accounting teams to ensure consistency between financial statements and analytics models
- Lead the IT Audit process and partner with Accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end and quarter-end close processes
Desired Skills And Competencies
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
- Fluency with SQL
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Analytics or Strategy, ideally in fintech, financial services, or technology
- Familiarity with data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and modern finance tech stacks
- Deep Accounting knowledge and financial reporting (ideally US GAAP)
- Proactive and autonomous, able to drive multiple projects simultaneously, and know when to escalate issues or ask for support
- Excellent leadership, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
