GoldCoast Food, Herbs & Spices Ltd. (operating as Gold Coast Food Group is a Ghanaian agro-processing and food manufacturing company focused on natural nutrition, spices, and wellness products. We are seeking to hire an Assistant Production Manager to support our Kenyan subsidiary.
Reports to: Production Manager
Job Purpose
To assist in managing daily production activities, ensuring efficient processing, packaging and quality control of spices, seasonings and other food products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring daily production activities.
- Ensure production targets and schedules are achieved.
- Monitor the processing, blending and packaging of products.
- Maintain food hygiene, safety and quality standards.
- Monitor raw materials, stock levels and production wastage.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare daily reports.
- Coordinate production staff and ensure proper use of equipment.
- Report production challenges, shortages and equipment faults.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Processing or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a food production environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene and quality control.
- Good organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
