Strategic Objectives

  • Accurate and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders: In this role, you are responsible for the accuracy of our financial records, which serve as basis for reporting to shareholders and debt providers
  • Invoicing and cash collection: Together with the asset management team, you work relentlessly in invoicing and dunning, helping to collect revenues from our clients
  • You develop a deep system understanding of our accounting software AccountsIQ and help with intercompany transactions and Group consolidation

Foundational Objectives

  • Regular bookkeeping: Perform daily financial transactions including AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Accruals
  • Manage the month-end close of African entities including monthly tax filings in close collaboration with our tax advisors
  • Manage the year-end close and annual audit African entities in close collaboration with our tax advisors
  • Manage the payment cycle in close collaboration with the Treasury Department
  • Challenge and improve the processes in your area of work and contribute to the automation and digitalization of our company

Key skills to drive impact

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations in Kenya and Ghana: Together with local tax advisors and the rest of the team, you will ensure that our books are kept up to date and reconcile to ensure timely and accurate filings
  • Attention to detail and ability to improve processes: In order to improve processes and catch errors before they appear/correct historic errors, we are looking for a process-driven candidate with high attention to detail
  • At least 3 years of relevant prior experience in an international context
  • Bachelor’s degree plus professional certifications (CPA-K or ACCA), Advanced Tax training as a plus
  • Ability to take full ownership: We are looking for an individual that does not shy away from taking ownership for the tasks provided, is proactive and proposes improvements where needed.
