Job Description
Eimara Africa Resources is a Mining & Energy Consultancy Firm that of ers Advisory and other Consultancy Services to Companies in Mining and Energy Sector. Currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records in line with corporate governance and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile financial discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with Kenyan tax regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
- Conduct financial analysis and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations in Kenya.
- Support payroll processing and statutory deductions (NHIF, NSSF, PAYE).
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Level 3 certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in corporate governance and compliance is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong financial modelling and reporting skills.
