Job Type: Contract 3 – 6 Months

Eimara Africa Resources is a Mining & Energy Consultancy Firm that of ers Advisory and other Consultancy Services to Companies in Mining and Energy Sector. Currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records in line with corporate governance and compliance standards.

  • Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile financial discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with Kenyan tax regulations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
  • Conduct financial analysis and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations in Kenya.
  • Support payroll processing and statutory deductions (NHIF, NSSF, PAYE).
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Level 3 certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in corporate governance and compliance is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong financial modelling and reporting skills.
