The salary for the role is Ksh 25,000 – 30,000 monthly. Proficiency in window tint installation, surface preparation, and quality control is required.

Our client, a leading company in the car paint and tinting industry, is seeking a skilled and creative Vehicle Tinter to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for professionally installing automotive window tint films, preparing vehicle surfaces, creating custom tint solutions, and ensuring high-quality workmanship that meets customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Window Tint Installation

• Install decorative, privacy, UV protection, and sun-control window tint films on a variety of vehicles.
• Measure, cut, shape, and heat-form tint films for precise installation.
• Ensure smooth, bubble-free, wrinkle-free, and professionally finished tint applications.
• Remove old or damaged window tint films without causing damage to vehicle glass.

Surface Preparation

• Thoroughly clean and prepare vehicle windows before tint application.
• Inspect vehicle windows for chips, scratches, or imperfections before installation.
• Ensure all surfaces are free from dust, grease, and contaminants to achieve high-quality results.

Tint Colour Mixing & Customization

• Mix and match different tint shades to achieve customer specifications where applicable.
• Recommend suitable tint options based on customer preferences, legal requirements, and vehicle type.
• Create customized tint designs while maintaining professional quality standards.

Quality Control

• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company quality standards.
• Identify and rectify installation defects before vehicle delivery.
• Ensure finished vehicles are clean and ready for customer collection.

Customer Service

• Explain available tint products, benefits, and maintenance requirements to customers.
• Provide professional advice on tint shades, UV protection, heat reduction, and privacy options.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns courteously and professionally.
• Ensure customers receive excellent service throughout the installation process.

Equipment & Workshop Maintenance

• Maintain tinting tools, heat guns, cutting equipment, and other workshop tools in good working condition.
• Monitor inventory of tint films and installation materials and report shortages.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Adhere to workplace safety procedures and proper handling of equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Body Repair, Auto Detailing, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Tinter or Automotive Window Film Installer.
• Experience mixing different tint colours and creating customized tint solutions.
• Knowledge of various automotive window films and installation techniques.
• Experience working in an automotive paint, detailing, or tinting workshop is preferred.
• Excellent window tint installation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Good colour matching and creative design skills.
• Knowledge of tint film application techniques and heat-shrinking methods.
