Key Resposnibilities
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist the surgical team during operations (scrub role)
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide intraoperative care
- Coordinate with the surgical team and anesthesia providers
- Maintain accurate patient and procedure records
- Ensure adherence to surgical safety and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing (KRN/KRCHN)
- Valid and current Nursing Council of Kenya practicing license
- Post-basic certification in Perioperative Nursing (highly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a bustling operating theatre
