Job Summary
KEDA Ceramics is seeking experienced and hardworking Steel Fixers to join our building and construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for cutting, bending, placing, and securing reinforcement steel bars and mesh used in concrete structures in accordance with approved drawings and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret structural drawings and bar bending schedules.
- Cut, bend, and shape steel reinforcement bars to required specifications.
- Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and other concrete structures.
- Position and secure reinforcement using appropriate tools and tying methods.
- Ensure all steel fixing work complies with project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other construction workers to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Inspect reinforcement work before concrete placement and rectify any identified defects.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Certificate in Masonry, Steel Fixing, Building Technology, or a related field is an added advantage.
- At least 2–3 years of proven experience as a Steel Fixer in building construction projects.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and reinforcement schedules.
- Skilled in the use of steel fixing tools and equipment.
- Physically fit and able to work in a demanding construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
