Sales Representative Job (25K)
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers within the hardware and construction industry.
- Promote and sell company products to contractors, hardware shops, wholesalers, and other clients.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Conduct regular field visits to existing and potential clients outside Nairobi.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers.
- Follow up on orders, quotations, and customer inquiries.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Provide after-sales support and resolve client issues promptly.
Market Expansion
- Travel extensively outside Nairobi to develop new business opportunities.
- Identify new markets and distribution channels for company products.
- Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and demand trends.
- Provide feedback to management on market conditions and opportunities.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer interactions.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Track sales performance and pipeline progress.
- Ensure proper documentation of orders and transactions.
Product Knowledge
- Maintain strong knowledge of hardware and building materials products.
- Advise customers on suitable products based on their needs and projects.
- Stay updated on new products, pricing, and industry trends.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hardware sales is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of the construction and hardware supply industry.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively outside Nairobi.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and highly motivated.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure.
