An officer at this level will report to the senior officer in charge 

Responsibilities

• Taking history, examine, diagnose, order laboratory and imaging investigations; Interpreting Laboratory and imaging results; 
• Treating patients’ common ailments at the facility; 
• Providing community health care services in liaison with other health workers; Offering guiding and counselling to patients, clients and staff on health issues; Sensitizing patients and clients on preventive and promotive health; Carrying out surgical procedures as per training and skill; 
• Preparing medico-legal briefs on clinical services; and 
• Referring patients and clients to appropriate Health Facilities as need may arise. 
• Collecting and compile clinical data; 

Requirements

For appointments to this grade a candidate must have: – 

• Kenyan Citizenship 
• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: – Clinical Medicine and Surgery; Clinical Medicine; Community Health or any other equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution; 
• Registered with Clinical Officers Council; 

Valid Professional Practicing License from Clinical Officers’ Council; and
