Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities entail: –
- Securing information, documents, files, records and office equipment in a registry/archive;
- Sorting, classifying and indexing documents for filing;
- Storage, updating and maintenance of personnel records and file index;
- Controlling opening of open, confidential and secret files;
- Custody and Maintenance of Council’s documents;
- Planning appropriate office space for records;
- Ensuring file movement records are updated and maintained; and
- undertake any other functions as may be lawfully assigned.
Job Specification
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, the candidate must have: –
- Diploma in Records Management, Information Management, Information Science, Library Science or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution; and
- Proficiency in computer applications.
