Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Secretarial Studies, Health Records, Customer Service, Front Office Operations, or any related field
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a busy Level 4 hospital setting (MUST have experience)
- Strong customer service and patient handling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage high patient flow in a busy clinical environment
- Proficiency in computer applications and hospital management systems will be an added advantage
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle patients and relatives with professionalism, empathy, and patience
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to:
- Receive and attend to patients, visitors, and clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and front desk coordination
- Direct patients appropriately to consultation rooms, departments, or services
- Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and hospital communication channels efficiently
- Ensure accurate patient data entry and updates in the hospital management system
- Support billing processes and guide patients on payment procedures where necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area at all times
- Coordinate patient flow to reduce waiting time and improve service efficiency
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to hospital departments as required
- Uphold confidentiality, patient dignity, and hospital service standards at all times
