Plumbing Technologist II Job Michuki National Polytechnic
Looking for a technician job in Kenya? Michuki National Polytechnic is recruiting a plumbing technologist in Murang’a. A diploma in water engineering is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sewerage, and sanitation systems.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of plumbing installations, fixtures, pumps, valves, pipelines, and associated equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify plumbing defects, leakages, blockages, and system failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Read and interpret plumbing drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications during installation and maintenance works.
- Prepare material estimates, bills of quantities, and requisitions for plumbing projects and maintenance activities.
- Monitor plumbing works to ensure compliance with building regulations, plumbing codes, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time
Qualifications:-
- Diploma in Water Engineering or Building Technology from a recognized institution with a Certificate in Plumbing or a NITA Plumbing Pipe Fitter Grade II or Grade I Certificate.
- Served satisfactorily in the position of Plumbing Technologist III or its equivalent for a minimum period of Three (3) years.
