Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related field.
- Proven experience in maintenance of industrial plant machinery (food processing environment is an added advantage).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance records.
- Good understanding of safety standards in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of production plant machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement timely corrective actions.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns and production downtime.
- Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment and machinery.
- Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and repair reports.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards in all engineering activities.
- Work closely with production staff to resolve equipment-related operational issues.
- Manage spare parts inventory and recommend replacements when necessary.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to restore production operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
