Plant Technician Job Ol Kalou Dairy

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any related field.
  • Proven experience in maintenance of industrial plant machinery (food processing environment is an added advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance records.
  • Good understanding of safety standards in industrial environments.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of production plant machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns and production downtime.
  • Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment and machinery.
  • Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and repair reports.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards in all engineering activities.
  • Work closely with production staff to resolve equipment-related operational issues.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and recommend replacements when necessary.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to restore production operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
